Nelson City Brass is proud to support two exciting events coming to the Theatre Royal in coming weeks.

Seussical the Musical

A large number of Nelson City Brass members are involved in the Nayland College musical ‘Seussical’.  Nayland College is delighted to bring the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Jojo, Mayzie la Bird, Gertrude McFuzz and a world a fabulous Dr Seuss characters to the Theatre Royal stage 11-13 May. This dynamic, colourful, crazy show in one 75-minute act is perfect for the whole family.

For younger children, don’t miss the Saturday matinee where children (and Adults!) are encouraged to dress as their favourite Dr Seuss character and to meet the cast on stage for photos after the show.

The NZ Army Band

Join the world-famous New Zealand Army Band for an evening of music. The band is hugely excited to be going on tour presenting a concert series, ‘New Zealand Army Band in Concert.’

The band will play a wide variety of music including classical, big band, brass band, show music and rock showcasing the talents of the 30-strong ensemble.

Some of the band’s world-class brass soloists and fine vocalists will be featured.
