The Nelson Social Band is on the lookout for a new Musical Director. The Nelson Social Band membership constitutes musicians who enjoy playing brass band music at social level for pleasure.

The Nelson Social Band is on the lookout for a new Musical Director (conductor). Musical experience is a must, not necessarily conducting, but a willingness to learn a new skill would be great. 

The music played by the Social Band is suitable for the instrumentation and skill level of the band. From time to time easy listening programmes may be played at public performances with the agreement and availability of members.

It is not intended that the social band as group performs in a competitive environment nor at major concerts. This does not preclude individuals or ensembles playing in competitions.
